Our Difference

Experience the Difference of Twin Cities Flight Training

We Are a Chapter 141 Flight School

To train under Part 141, a student must be enrolled in a 141 course. Only schools that have been evaluated and approved by the FAA can issue these enrollments. We are approved to teach this course because of our strict syllabus and training methods. We follow all FAA protocols and teach the course according to their directives.

We Have Extensive Experience and Flight Training Knowledge

Each of our instructors is fully certified to teach Chapter 141 and Chapter 61 courses. They also have thousands of combined hours of flight time and training. Regardless of where you are in your training or experience, we can help you meet your personal or professional aviation goals.

Our General Manager Paul flew in the military for 22 years—both rotary-wing and fixed-wing aircraft—before retiring in 1997 from the South Dakota Air Guard, where he flew both the A-7D Corsair and the F-16C. He also flew over 20 years for American Airlines before retiring in 2010, off the Boeing 777. Upon his arrival at Twin Cities Flight Training, Paul instituted many new policies and programs. He has held all employees and students to high standards and has turned the school and the facility into the best flight instruction program in the Upper Midwest.

Our Chief Flight Instructor DJ Horton has a very extensive commercial flight back ground flying corporate aircraft and instructing for one of the largest schools on the west coast. He brings a wealth of knowledge and echoes the General Managers’ professional agendas as to how flight schools should be run and how training of students is conducted.

Paul’s and DJ’s decades of flight experience give them the knowledge and tools they need to effectively teach students, ensure aircraft quality, and provide exceptional service for both students and aircraft clients. No other Flight School in the Midwest has more qualified and experienced management.
